 Master of Art in Teaching/TESOL

I started my career off at Beulah as a parent volunteer.  I substituted for seven years and then became a paraprofessional for six months in Pre-K. During that time, I went back to school to get my certification. I taught 10 years in Kindergarten, 2 of the 10 years in Dual Language.  This is my third year teaching Second grade Immersion. I have a master's in ESOL. I have been involved with Beulah PTA for 17 years. I was PTA president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, room representative, fundraiser chairman, and a volunteer for many years.  I had a Girl Scout troop at Beulah for 4 years.

I was born at Robbins Air Force Base and have lived in Georgia all of my life. I have been married to a wonderful man for 28 years and have 2 children, a boy 21 and girl 24. They both attended Beulah Elementary.  I have lived in Douglasville for must of my life. I have 2 "weenie" dogs, 2 crazy cats, 2 guinea pigs, and two turtles.

When I was a teenager I had the opportunity to visit for several weeks with relatives living in the Republic of Panama. My love of the Latin culture began there and has grown each year.

It is wonderful to work with such terrific teachers, staff, and students on a daily basis. I truly love what I do. I have been associated with Beulah a very long time. Beulah has a special place in my heart.
