1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, 5th Grade, Kindergarten

I attended the University of Montevallo, where I graduated with a double major in Elementary and Early Childhood Education.  After teaching for four years, I completed a master's degree in Early Childhood Education at the University of Montevallo.

I taught kindergarten at Creek View Elementary School in Alabaster, Alabama for four years. Then, I taught pre-kindergarten for one year at a private school in Mountain Brook, Alabama.  We moved to Atlanta, Georgia in June of 2002.  I taught kindergarten for three years and second grade for one year at Stockbridge Elementary School in Henry County, Georgia.  This is my twelfth year as a Beulah Bee, where I have taught second grade for four years, first grade for one year, 3rd grade for one year, Title 1 for 5 years (Title 1 4th & 5th grade reading and math, Title 1 math 5th grade, Title 1 math 3rd-5th grades, Title 1 interventionist kindergarten - 2nd grades, and Title 1 reduced class size 1st & 2nd grade.)  I look forward to working with 2nd grade Beulah Bees for 2017-2018!

I grew up in Alabama.  I met my husband, Craig as I worked in customer service.  We have been married for 20 years.  In June of 2002,  we moved to Atlanta, Georgia. I was honored to be recognized as Stockbridge Elementary School's Teacher of the Year for 2004-2005.  Then, our family grew in 2005.  We were blessed with our daughter Savannah. We gained a Jack Russell Labrador Mix puppy (Jax) so we were told when we adopted him from an animal shelter.  Jax is really a full blooded Pointer who will never hunt rabbit because his partner in crime was Snowball. We also have various colored goldfish and koi in our pond which has attracted many toads and frogs.  In 2012, we adopted a Guinea Pig named Lizzy. In 2016, we adopted a Toy Rat Terrier named Oscar. It is hard to believe it but Savannah starts middle school this year.
